On Saturday a local artist, Connor Fogel, continued painting a community art piece on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. He has had to overcome more challenges than most after being diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Bowlers came out to the National Bowling Stadium on Sunday to help raise money for the Sierra Arts Foundation.

The artwork uses hand brushed acrylic paints to depict a hand in a peace symbol.

The funds were generated this year by North Lake Tahoe’s newly formed Tourism Business Improvement District

The mural, painted by local artist Beverly Caputo, depicts several dolphins playing in the surf.

This project will take one week and includes temporary lane and sidewalk closures along First Street, Center Street, and Lincoln Alley.
