Local community heroes were put to the test during a single shift as Central Lyon County firefighters responded to 35 calls across the district.
According to an online Facebook post from Central Lyon Firefighters – B Shift, incidents included seven car crashes, a cattle truck rollover, a fire at an RV campground, and an apartment fire where flames were contained to one unit and its attic space.
Despite the pace and variety of emergencies, the department said crews stayed ready for whatever came next.
“We take immense pride in serving and protecting the district and are thankful for the supportive community,” the department said in the post.
