On Friday January 30, 2026, members of the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force arrested Devon McMillin, 28, on an outstanding felony warrant.Â
The warrant was issued in October 2024 out of Nye County, from a charge of sexual assault of a minor under the age of 14.
The arrest resulted from an ongoing investigation conducted by members of the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit (RSONU). During an unrelated investigation, detectives found out that McMillin may be hiding in the Reno-Sparks area.
Once his suspected location was confirmed in Sparks, McMillin was taken into custody.
He was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility. He will be transferred to Nye County to face the charges from that jurisdiction.
The Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit is comprised of members from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department, Nevada Parole and Probation, and the United States Marshals Service.
