Solar panels with BLM logo

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is looking for comment from the public on the proposed Dodge Flat II solar project.

The project is reported to take up 500 acres of public land and over 1,000 acres of private land near Wadsworth in Washoe County.

The BLM is also looking for help identifying historical properties in or near the area of the proposed project.

If the project is approved, Dodge Flat Energy Center, LLC could build and operate a roughly 200-megawatt solar facility with a battery storage system and on-site substation.

More information is available and comments may be submitted—using the 'Participate Now' button—on the BLM's project website.
