An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car early Tuesday morning in Sparks. 

Nevada Highway Patrol says a man was hit by a Jeep just before 5 a.m. near McCarran Blvd. and East Lincoln Way. 

NHP says the driver is cooperating with the investigation and that there's no signs of impairment.
