Carson City Fire Dept Survey

The public is being invited to participate in a hazard mitigation survey being conducted by the Carson City Fire Department.

As part of the process to update the city's Hazard Mitigation Plan, the Carson City Fire Department's Emergency Management Division is conducting research to learn more about the preparedness needs and risk perceptions of its citizens.

The survey covers the public's information-gathering habits, their experience in emergency preparedness, and their level of response readiness.

It is suggested that the public complete the survey by April 30, 2025.

According to the Carson Fire Department, your feedback is strongly valued and appreciated.

According to Carson City, FEMA recommends hazard mitigation planning to identify common natural disaster risks and vulnerabilities in the area and to reduce the impact of disasters at the state, tribal, and local levels.

Carson City says it coordinates mitigation initiatives using the Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is in line with the City's Master Plan.
