Crews with Carson City and Central Lyon Fire continue to fight a fire that started Saturday afternoon at the Carson City Landfill on Flint Road.
It's been a busy day for the Carson City Fire Department as crews also responded to three small brush fires near the landfill with the help of the Bureau of Land Management.
Those fires sparked in the area of U.S. 50 near Drako Way and burned about an acre. All have been fully contained.
The cause of these fires is currently under investigation and there is no word on any injuries.
