A Carson City man has been arrested in Reno on charges including domestic violence and attempted robbery.
On Monday, February 10 Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies responded to North Curry Street on reports of a domestic disturbance.
The victim identified the suspect as her ex-boyfriend Matthew Alexander Mann according to a release from the CCSO.
The victim told deputies she had an active protection order against Mann.
Video footage from the area showed Mann approaching the victim near her car and opening her driver-side door. He physically moved her to the area between the car door and the driver's seat and restrained her from moving according to the Sheriff's Office.
Mann allegedly grabbed the victim's purse and tried to steal it but did not succeed.
Carson City Sheriff’s Office Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Matthew for the charges of attempted robbery, false imprisonment, violation of a temporary protection order, and domestic battery.
Detectives later discovered that Mann allegedly called the victim on Thursday, February 13, and threatened to shoot her for talking to authorities. He also asked her if she was going to testify against him in court.
On Friday detectives found Mann at a home in Reno where he was arrested.
He is currently in custody at the Carson City Sheriff's Office jail on charges including attempted robbery, false imprisonment, domestic battery, and violating a domestic violence temporary protection order.
His bail has been set at $100,000.
