A Carson City man is facing felony charges after a months-long investigation involving child sexual abuse material.Â
On Thursday, Carson City deputies along with investigators with the Northern Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), served search warrants at two different locations where they say they found hard drives, flash drives, and other devices capable of storing digital media.Â
Deputies say a search warrant was also obtained for a digital storage platform, which uncovered over 500 image and video files depicting the sexual abuse of minor victims, including children under the age of ten years old.
As a result, the primary suspect, identified as 60-year-old Marcus Marchegger was arrested in connection with the investigation
Marchegger faces multiple felony charges, including:
* Distribute Material Depicting Child Sexual Abuse – Felony
* Possess Visual Presentation of Person Under Age 16 - Felony
His bail is set at $500,000.Â
