A Carson Middle School student spent his entire summer building an R.C. track, and the track sits right across the street from the school.

Seth Donnelly put many hours into this project, as the track features a couple garages, some jumps, and even a patch of grass that he has to water.

After seeing an empty dirt lot, and receiving a new R.C. car for his birthday, Seth knew he wanted to build something special.

"This whole dirt parking lot was right here and it's kind of empty and I do have a bit of space but not really to much for an RC car and once I got my traxxas right here I was like I got to build something new," said Seth Donnelly.

Seth's parents said he came out to the track almost every day over the summer, regardless of the heat, so he could work on the track.

He has gotten creative with it by using nearby materials such as rocks, wood, and even his parents' grass-seed.

Once the school year came back around, the track was supposed to be taken out to make room for teacher parking, but one man saw all of Seth's hard work.

"Some of the guys wanted to clean this all up and I said no we're going to just let him build his thing and we will kind of clean it up later if we need to because I just wanted to see how far he would go with it," said Virgil Berry, director of operations for the Carson City School District.

Seth said he will continue adding on to the track, and that anyone is welcome to use it, as long as they don't destroy it.
