The City of Sparks is inviting the community to submit names for its new permanent art piece located on Victorian Avenue.

The recently installed sculpture was partially funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and is part of the Together We See Sparks Creative Placemaking Plan. Artist Jim Gallucci’s design was chosen after months of public feedback and reflects the history and character of Sparks. The City says he chose not to name the piece so that the community could take part in the creativity.

The sculpture is across from the Galaxy Theatre on the south side of Victorian Avenue.

To enter, visit cityofsparks.us/victorianart.

Submissions will be accepted through May 14, 2025, at 5 p.m.

The top names will be put on the City of Sparks Facebook page (@cityofsparks) for public voting. The selected name will be displayed on a placard on the base of the sculpture.
