Early voting ends Friday in the Silver State, and according to the Secretary of State's office, 254,000 mail-in ballots have already been returned statewide, while 170,000 people have cast their ballots at early voting centers.

We spoke with folks who voted on Monday, and they shared how early voting gives people more opportunities to cast their ballots, saying it's important to make time to find a voting center near you.

Micaiah Latting, a voter we spoke to, said, “I already knew who I came to vote for. I did my research. I knew everything. I always come here to vote, and then it was super easy, quick and easy, and it's way better than coming the day when it's time to vote because there are too many people, and then you're here all day."

Some voters we spoke with shared how it was their first time being able to vote, and said they encourage the younger demographic to do the same.

Hollace Brito, another voter we spoke with, told us, "I think it's really important just because, you know, I feel like not obviously 100%, but to a degree, a lot of older folks and younger folks have very different opinions, so I think it's important for younger voters to come and get their opinion in."

Other folks shared how voting is part of this country's democracy, and having the right to voice your opinion is valuable.

They said they hope people can learn to accept different points of view.

"Let’s say, you know, you're opposite of me, and you bring up something. I learned something, and it's the same for me. If I was to tell you something, it's food for thought. So you go home, you might want to look into that, you know, and that's what everybody should be doing instead of fighting because they don't like so and so," said Christie Maus, a voter we spoke to.

The registrar of voters tells us these early votes are the first results to be processed and posted on election day, and it helps lessen the workload that day.

George Guthrie, the Public Information Officer for the Registrar of Voters, said, "Once all polls are closed, your vote will already be in that count. You vote on Election Day; those votes have to come back to our office. They have to be delivered, so while results may be posted, your vote might still be in transit. Back to that central counting place, and you'll have to wait a little bit to see your vote end up in the results."

Voting centers are open through Friday for early voting, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
