Folks in Sparks may see crews removing dead trees at city parks over the next few weeks.
The City tells us they're doing this ahead of winter weather so the branches don't fall and hurt someone during stormy conditions.
New trees will be planted in some areas while others will not, depending on where they are.
Neighbors are asked to use caution around active work areas.
“Our priority is keeping our parks and public spaces safe,” said Crew Supervisor Karl Martin. “Doing this work now helps reduce the risk of falling trees and branches during winter storms.”
