Douglas County officials are asking residents to prepare now for an upcoming storm.
Officials say sandbag stations across the county have been freshly stocked and are available for those who want to protect their property.
They ask that you bring your own shovel.
Officials also ask that you secure outdoor items that could be blown away in high winds and use extra caution when traveling, especially on mountain roads where snow is expected.
Consistent, widespread rain is expected throughout the storm, and 1 to 2 inches of snow may accumulate at lake level. Higher elevations could see 1 to 2 feet of snow.
