Reno Police say they've arrested two people in connection with an attempted armed robbery on E. Grove Street.

Police say 18-year-old Dayveon Jones and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on Thursday. 

Jones faces charges of arrested for Attempted Robbery with a Deadly Weapon and Battery with the use of a Deadly Weapon. Additionally, the 17-year-old faces charges of Attempted Robbery with the use of a deadly weapon.

UPDATE - January 22: 

Secret Witness is now offering a $1,500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the persons wanted in connection with the attempted armed robbery-shooting at the El Paso Market and Liquor Store located at 160 E. Grove Street in Reno on January 11.

ORIGINAL STORY - January 21: 

Reno Police need your help finding two suspects who shot a clerk while robbing a Reno business earlier this month.

It happened on January 11th around 8:30 p.m. at El Paso Market and Liquor on East Grove Street.

During the robbery, one of the suspects fired a single shot, hitting the clerk in the chest.

Both suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

The victim suffered was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury and was treated and then released.

Reno Police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspects and have released photos of them.
