Visitors to Lake Tahoe now have a free and easier way to reach Sand Harbor as the East Shore Express returns with service connecting key parking and trail locations along the East Shore.

According to the Tahoe Transportation District in an online post, the East Shore Express returns today, Sunday, June 21, offering a convenient, stress-free way to visit Sand Harbor and explore Tahoe's East Shore.

The service allows people to skip parking hassles and ride from the Tunnel Creek Parking Lot or Tahoe East Shore Trailhead directly to Sand Harbor.

Officials said the service is easy, free, reduces traffic congestion, and helps protect the environment.

Whether heading to the beach, hiking the East Shore Trail, or spending the day on the lake, visitors can let the East Shore Express handle the driving.
