The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office will host a family-friendly community event focused on concealed-carry weapon awareness, responsible gun ownership, community partnerships, and public safety on Saturday at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.
According to an online post from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the fairgrounds located at 100 Placerville Drive in Placerville.
Sheriff Leikauff is scheduled to address attendees at 11 a.m.
The event will include free snow cones, cotton candy, gifts for children, multiple raffles and prizes, including firearms. Family-friendly activities will take place throughout the day alongside local vendors and food trucks.
Attendees also will have an opportunity to meet local law enforcement personnel and explore specialized equipment.
