The Elko County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on Wednesday on child sexual assault charges related to an alleged incident that happened a decade ago.
On August 27 of this year, a victim came forward alleging Thomas Connor Moore sexually assaulted them in 2016, when they were seven and Moore was 18, according to a post on Facebook from the ECSO.
On September 9 of this year, Moore was interviewed by the Sheriff's Office's detective division and gave a detailed confession of the assault, the Sheriff's Office says.
Moore was arrested and booked into the Elko County Jail for Sexual Assault of a Child Under 14.
