The Fallon Cantaloupe Festival and Country Fair will celebrate its 40th anniversary next weekend.

The celebration will take place starting on August 22 through August 24 at the Rafter 3C Event Complex, located at 225 Sheckler Road in Fallon.

Organizers say the event will feature a mix of new attractions and longtime favorites honoring Fallon’s agricultural roots and the iconic Hearts of Gold cantaloupe.

The festival began in 1985 and has since grown into one of Nevada’s largest agricultural fairs, attracting visitors from across the region.

This year’s schedule includes truck pulls, a petting zoo, the interactive Ag Experience educational center in partnership with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, carnival rides, a farmer’s market, the Cutest Cowboy & Cowgirl Contest, a cornhole competition, a classic car show, a country fair exhibit hall, and food vendors offering both local and traditional festival fare.

Special features will include cantaloupe-inspired food and drinks, including the well-known cantaloupe daiquiris, along with live music from national and regional performers such as Jared Hovis, Jake Jacobsen, and The Floyd.

“This festival is more than an event—it’s a homecoming, a showcase of rural resilience, and a celebration of everything that makes Fallon special,” said Adrienne Snow, executive director of the Fallon Festival Association. “We’re thrilled to honor four decades of tradition with new experiences and timeless favorites.”
