Update (8/4/2025):
A GoFundMe has been set up for the family whose home was burned in the garage fire on Saturday.
According to the site, the family was settling into a motel after the fire when a bag of essential items—including a blood pressure monitor, clothing and necessities—was stolen from their car.

The Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department and one unit with Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at a home on Mustang Trail Drive in North Valleys.
RFD says it started in the garage of a home around 12:15 in the afternoon.
The fire then spread to the exterior of a neighboring home.
The family of the first home where the fire started is displaced but the other house only had exterior damage.
Three dogs were also rescued, with one being transported.
One person was treated for injuries on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
