The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced more than $5.2 million in funding for Nevada, Hawaii and the territory of Guam for long-term projects the agency says will make communities more resilient to disasters.
Nevada was awarded $500,000 for two Hazard Mitigation grants focused on dealing with the aftermath of wildfires in the state.
This funding is part of the more than $137 million that FEMA announced Friday for more than 50 projects nationwide.Â
