Two people are dead after a crash on SR 208 near Sleeping Elephant Ranch in Douglas County. 

The crash happened just after 6 a.m. on Friday.

Nevada Highway Patrol says a third person was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

There's no immediate word on what caused the crash, or when the roadway will reopen to cars. 

NHP says traffic is being currently rerouted through Topaz Ranch Drive Estates. 

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is assisting.
