Sparks Fire crews put out a house fire at Greenbrae Drive and Covina Drive in Sparks Wednesday afternoon.
When crews arrived on scene just before 2:30 p.m. they found a large fire in a backyard that had extended to the home.Â
The people inside the home were able to evacuate unharmed, but two dogs did not survive.
One firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital. Their condition has not been released.Â
The fire destroyed some structures behind the home and damaged a neighboring building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
