The Food Bank of Northern Nevada announces a new SNAP assistance walk-in site in Sparks that is open two days per week. 

Members of the SNAP outreach team of the Food Bank will be available on Monday and Wednesday, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Oddie Project Office at 2256 Oddie Blvd. next to Sparks Coffee Shop. 

SNAP outreach workers offer bilingual help with new SNAP applications, recertifications, same day interviews, and even help with questions about eligibility. 

Many of those who qualify for SNAP benefits may not be aware that they qualify or how to get signed up. SNAP, known also as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, helps thousands of people and families in Nevada make ends meet by providing nutrition assistance.
