The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is once again offering meals for kids this summer through their Kids Café program.
The program offers free meals to children and youth when school is out of session. There is no paperwork or forms to qualify, and meals are open to all children ages 2 – 18.Â
Kids Cafe summer meals are offered daily with many sites offering Saturday service. Free meals are available at 23 locations in the Reno/Sparks area and meals must be eaten on site.Â
The entire schedule can be viewed at fbnn.org.
There are also Kids Cafe free summer meals served in Douglas County, Elko County, Humboldt County, Lander County, Pershing County, Storey County and Washoe County. Times for all rural locations can be found at fbnn.org.Â
Rural Kids Cafe sites will distribute 7 days of breakfast and lunch per child at one time. The child must be present when the meals are picked up or the parent must show a birth certificate (for younger children), or a school ID for the child.Â
Meals are served to children at parks, recreation centers, libraries, schools, housing complexes and more.Â
