Holiday decorations took on a competitive edge as divisions inside the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office transformed their workspace into a festive showcase.
According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in an online post, the annual Broken Bulb office decorating contest brought together teams from across the agency, filling hallways with lights, displays, and seasonal scenes.
This year’s theme was Christmas Village, and the creativity stretched from one end of the building to the other.
One division created a Nativity scene, while another added miniature horses to its display, transforming the halls into a walk-through holiday experience.
Executive staff judged the entries after what the office described as a close decision.
The Detectives Division ultimately earned the win for 2025, with organizers citing attention to detail and overall presentation.
Every division that took part helped deck out the building, adding to what the sheriff’s office called a spirited and memorable contest.
