An investigation is underway after a man died after being hit by a train in Storey County late Monday afternoon.

Deputies say it appears the unidentified man was walking on the tracks when he was hit from behind, just before 5 p.m. in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.

They say the man died on scene. 

Deputies say the investigating is ongoing.
