A jury has found 23-year-old Aiden Bartee guilty of felony battery resulting in substantial bodily harm to an older person following a two-day trial.
Prosecutors say the 78-year-old victim was Bartee’s landlord at the time of the attack last March. The landlord had posted an eviction notice on the unit Bartee was renting.
When the landlord returned to check on the property, prosecutors say Bartee came outside and punched him in the face.
He suffered an orbital bone fracture and a broken nose.
Bartee is scheduled to be sentenced September 10. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
