Starting Monday, March 11, lanes will be reduced on I-580 as the Nevada Department of Transportation continues resurfacing and improving the interstate and ramps.

The lane reductions will be near Mt. Rose Highway in south Reno.

Beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, one lane will be reduced on southbound I-580 near Summit Mall. This reduction will take place until approximately early April.

Drivers will also see overnight lane and ramp closures on both directions of I-580 between Mt. Rose Highway and South Meadows Parkway. These closures will take place weeknights from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Additionally, there will be a multi-day closure of southbound exit 25B to South Virginia Street.

At least one lane will remain open in each direction and no two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.

Speeds will be reduced to 55 mph through active work zones.
