A crash involving a motorcycle sent two people to the hospital on Monday with life-threatening injuries.
The crash shout down two right lanes on Interstate 80 eastbound near North Rock Boulevard for hours, but those lanes have since reopened.
Troopers responded around 1:06 p.m. Monday to the eastbound side of I-80 near Rock Boulevard.
They say the crash involved a motorcycle, and that the two people riding it were transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officials say it is too early to determine whether impairment was involved. While the motorcycle was confirmed to be part of the crash, it is not yet known if any other cars were involved. Investigators are still gathering details.
“Be careful, especially if you do have to come through this area, be on the lookout for first responders, leave extra time, avoid the area if possible,” the Highway Patrol said.
