In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Era a childhood cancer warrior, became Washoe County's Sheriff for the day on Wednesday.
The Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) says that 7-year-old Era, who is fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia began her day as Sheriff by meeting Sheriff Balaam, getting her fingerprints and photo taken.
She will then get to explore a WCSO SWAT vehicle, meet Deputy Grulli and K9 Jett, ride in a patrol car, and so much more.
Era's adventure is currently taking place at the Washoe County Sheriff's Office located at 911 Parr Boulevard and began at 9 a.m. and will continue through 11 a.m.
