The Washoe, Lyon and Douglas County Sheriff's Offices as well as University Police - Northern Command have received grant money as they jump into the Joining Forces campaign.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office has also recently announced that they will be joining the campaign as well.

The Joining Forces traffic safety campaign is a combination of 30 different law enforcement agencies in Nevada that focus on traffic safety awareness and enforcement.

This campaign series will run from this month until September 2025.

Joining Forces is especially focused on distracted and impaired driving, seat belt use, speeding, pedestrian safety, motorcycle, bicycle and other traffic laws.

The overall goal is to reduce the number of traffic fatalities and decrease the number of impaired driving incidents.
