Families will have a chance to get an up-close look at law enforcement equipment and enjoy a variety of activities when the Carson City Sheriff’s Office hosts its annual Cops and Kids event.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, located at 911 E. Musser St.
This year’s event will feature a live DJ, a scavenger hunt, free giveaways and prizes, free hot dogs, face painters and a balloon artist. Visitors will also be able to see the sheriff’s office’s tools, toys and equipment on display.
Activities will take place both outside and inside the sheriff’s office. The interior of the building will be open to the public as part of an open house event.
The annual event is designed to allow community members to visit the sheriff’s office and explore displays and activities throughout the day.
