A man has been arrested in a joint investigation into the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

On June 30, the Northern Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force helped the FBI serve a federal search warrant at a home in Reno in connection with an ongoing CSAM investigation, according to a release from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.

In the course of the investigation, detectives identified a juvenile victim known to the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Zachary Stockinger, who was at risk of continued abuse.

Stockinger was arrested and taken to the Washoe County Detention Facility, where he was booked on charges including possession of visual presentation of a person under 16, distribution of child sexual abuse material, use of the internet to control a visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of a person under 16, and possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance.

The federal investigation into the possession and distribution of CSAM in this case remains ongoing.
