A man has been arrested in Elko County on vehicle theft and weapons charges.
On February 10, deputies with the Elko County Sheriff's Office were called to a home on Sun Mountain Lane in Spring Creek.
A person filed a report that a man, identified as Tacuma Brown, had not returned a vehicle, and the owner wanted to report it as stolen, according to a post on the ECSO Facebook page.
During the investigation, it was reported to deputies that Brown possibly had a gun.
Later that night, the Elko Police Department found the stolen vehicle on Idaho Street and followed it to Commercial Street.
Brown was located inside the vehicle with two other people.
During an interview with Brown, deputies learned the gun that was reported to be inside the vehicle had been removed and stored at a home on Bullion Road.
On February 11, a search warrant was served on the home where the gun was reported to be, and it was found.
Brown was arrested on charges including grand larceny of a vehicle, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
