A man was arrested on multiple drug charges while on his way to Black Rock City for Burning Man on Wednesday.
It happened on August 20, at 11:10 p.m., according to a release from the Yerington Police Department.
A YPD officer stopped a Ram cargo van, which allegedly had obstructed plates and was seen driving left of the center line on the highway.
The driver, identified as 48-year-old David Haynes, said he was passing through Yerington on his way to Burning Man.
A police K9 was deployed and detected narcotics, according to the release.
A search discovered a substantial amount of drugs, including 104 grams of crack cocaine, 6.1 grams of methamphetamine, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, 9.0 grams of MDMA, 9.9 grams of DMT, 3.4 grams of 2CB, LSD tabs, and multiple vape pens suspected of containing 2CB.
Police also found Gram scales and packaging materials, as well as various prescription drugs, including Oxycodone, Vicodin, Valium, and Xanax, which were packaged for sale.
Haynes was arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail on multiple charges.
His bail has been set at $248,000.
Due to an error in an earlier YPD press release, an earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the date of the arrest was July 24.
