A man is facing charges in connection with a shooting that injured two people at the Peppermint Hippo in Reno last weekend. 

Police say they responded to the Telegraph Street business around 1:15 a.m. where officers found one victim in the entryway of the club suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Officers say they also learned that a security officer suffered a gunshot wound to the arm.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where one victim remains in critical condition.

On Wednesday, police say the responded to a domestic disturbance between the suspected shooter and his girlfriend, who was also identified as a person of interest in the shooting investigation.

With the help of Sparks Police and the Regional Crime Suppression Unit (RCSU), the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Police say the girlfriend, and the suspect, Samuel East admitted to their involvement in the shooting.

This investigation remains ongoing.
