Lastly, just before 9 p.m., Mineral County deputies were contacted by the Lyon County Sheriff's Office about a suspected stolen 2017 Chevrolet Silverado from Yerington. The suspect, identified as Monica Robinson, was recently released from Lyon County jail on drug-related charges.

Robinson allegedly stole the car after the owner, a local resident, paid for a hotel room for her in Yerington. They say when the owner exited the hotel, Robinson locked the doors and drove away.

Deputies say a Walker River Tribal Police Officer saw the truck going south on U.S. 95 near Mile Marker 82. The officer tried to stop the car, but they say Robinson sped away leading to a pursuit that continued southbound.

During the alleged chase, she drove into oncoming traffic, swerving and eventually hitting an object, damaging the side front of the truck. That's when authorities deployed spike strips near MM 58, hitting the front passenger tire.

A second set of spike strips was then deployed at MM 56 and about 300 yards later, all four tires were deflated, causing the truck to spin and eventually stop.

Monica Robinson was then taken into custody.

Deputies say the stolen Chevrolet Silverado sustained major damage during the incident.

Robinson now faces charges of:

1. Grand Larceny of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)

2. No Valid D/L (Misdemeanor)

3. Fail to Drive on Right Half (Misdemeanor)

4. Driver Disobey Peace Officer (Misdemeanor)

5. Resist A Public Officer (Misdemeanor)

6. Eluding (Felony
