A motorcyclist has died after a crash on westbound McCarran Boulevard near Kietzke Lane. The crash involved a motorcycle and a car.
According to officials, after medical personnel arrived on scene, they assessed the situation and declared the motorcyclist dead.
Police also say the driver of the car is cooperating with authorities, and the Reno Police Department's M.A.I.T. (Major Accident Investigation Team) is investigating the crash.
Speed seems to be a factor leading to the crash, according to Police.
The identity of the person who died is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
McCarran Boulevard westbound from Kietzke remained closed until approximately 6:45PM, when then it was reopened to the public. The Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department, and REMSA responded to the crash.
