Strong thunderstorms are expected in Storey County and part of Washoe County on Tuesday evening.
Torrential rainfall is expected from the storm, which could cause localized flooding. People are advised not to drive through flooded roadways.
Hail and gusty winds are also expected, according to the National Weather Service in Reno, which issued a special weather statement.
Areas expected to be affected include Veterans Parkway, Damonte Ranch, and Hidden Valley.
