As students return to school this fall, the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety and the Zero Fatalities program are urging drivers to remain vigilant, particularly in school zones.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported an average of 108 school transportation-related fatalities annually from 2013 to 2022.
Officials say these deaths are preventable and stress the importance of awareness to keep children safe.
