The Nevada Small Business Development Center will host a free, hands-on AI event for small business owners and entrepreneurs from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 21, at the University of Nevada, Reno Innovation Center, located at 450 Sinclair Street.

AI Day: Practical Tools for Small Business is designed to show participants how they can use artificial intelligence to solve problems, develop ideas, and create tools for their businesses.

The event will feature AI demonstrations and speakers focused on business, startups and technology, along with a guided hackathon where participants can use AI to turn an idea into a working digital product.

Nevada SBDC State Director Winnie Dowling said the event is intended to give entrepreneurs practical experience with AI rather than simply discuss the technology.

"As artificial intelligence continues to transform industries around the world, Nevada's small businesses deserve opportunities to learn and experiment with these technologies in a collaborative environment," said Nevada SBDC State Director Winnie Dowling. "AI Day is designed to move beyond theory and give entrepreneurs practical experience with tools they can begin using immediately to improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and unlock new opportunities for growth."

No coding or previous AI experience is required. The event is free, and registration is encouraged because space may be limited. For more details on the event or to preregister, click here.
