Authorities inspected a suspicious package near Battle Born Way and Galletti Way on Wednesday morning.
Nevada State Capitol Police responded to the area of the Lakes Crossing Building in Reno, around 9:30 a.m.Â
As a precaution, roadways were temporarily closed while law enforcement investigated.
NHP says the Capitol Police K-9 Unit assessed the item and determined it did not contain any hazardous materials and that there was no threat to public safety.
The area was cleared, and roadways reopened to traffic at approximately 10:35 a.m.
Agencies assisting with the investigation included the Nevada State Capitol Police Division, Nevada State Police Parole and Probation Division, and the Sparks Police Department.
