Update 3/4/26
Nevada State Police have released the name of a motorcyclist killed in a crash on South Virginia street.
According to the NSP investigation, the driver of a Ram truck was traveling southbound on South Virgina Street and attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot as a motorcycle heading northbound was approaching. The front of the motorcycle hit the front of the truck.
22-year-old Clovis Wong of Sparks was killed.
The driver of the truck remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Update 2/26/26 7:00 p.m.
Nevada State Police say a motorcycle rider was killed in a crash with a pickup truck.
It happened just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday on northbound South Virginia Street, just north of Damonte Ranch Parkway.
The male rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Northbound South Virginia Street is closed to all traffic between Damonte Ranch Parkway and Bishop Manogue Drive.
Southbound travel lanes are open
The closure is expected to remain in place for the next four to six hours.

A deadly crash has closed northbound lanes of South Virginia Street near Damonte Ranch Parkway.
According to Nevada State Police it happened just before 5:30 p.m.
The Reno fire department tells us a motorcyclist was killed in the crash. Crews are asking that drivers avoid the area if you can.
