Nevada’s season in the pool ended with another milestone, this time outside the water.

A woman who spent the year rewriting program and conference records has now added one more achievement, being named the 2025-26 Mountain West Swimmer of the Year.

The honor follows a dominant season that included multiple record-breaking performances and top finishes at both the conference and national levels.

Earlier in the year, she earned Mountain West Swimmer of the Week honors on Feb. 3 after setting both the conference and Nevada record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.78.

That momentum carried into the Mountain West Championships.

She won the 100-yard backstroke in 51.07, becoming the first swimmer in conference history to win the event three consecutive years. She also captured the 100-yard butterfly title with a conference-record time of 51.34.

She added a seventh-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, earning All-Mountain West honors in all three events. Her performance also led to her being named Co-Swimmer of the Meet.

At the NCAA Championships, she qualified in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke and also competed in the 100-yard freestyle.

She became Nevada’s first All-American since 2023 after placing ninth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.98, earning Second Team All-America honors.

She also finished 22nd in the 100-yard butterfly in 51.72 and 51st in the 100-yard freestyle in 49.25.

She scored 12 points at the NCAA Championships, helping Nevada finish tied for 33rd nationally. It marked the program’s first national finish since 2023.

She is also the first Nevada student-athlete to earn a major Mountain West swimming or diving award since 2023-24.
