According to NV Energy, power has been restored to folks in downtown, midtown and old southwest Reno.Â
Power remains off for about 6,200 people in Verdi until 5 p.m. on Monday, when NV Energy anticipates restoration.Â

The number of folks affected by the power outages had dropped from over 27,000 to about 8,500.

Original Story, 8 p.m.:
Over 27,000 residents in Washoe County have no power due to several power outages in the Reno area.
According to NV Energy, there are over 400 outages in Reno. They all started around 7:45 p.m.
Most are located in the midtown and downtown and old southwest areas.
About 6,000 folks had power shut down in Verdi due to a wildfire.
As of 9:25 p.m., the other power outages have been updated to show wildfire as the outage cause.
NV Energy is reporting that they have restored power to a significant number of people affected by the Gold Ranch Fire.
There is currently no estimated time of restoration.
