On Thursday, registered nurses at Saint Mary's protested what they're calling the hospital's refusal to negotiate a new contract.
The nurses at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center say they've been negotiating with Saint Mary's and Prime Healthcare for almost a year but talks have stalled.
"Let's get back to the table. Let's negotiate, let's come to an agreement. We're all here for the same reason, we all want to take care of our patients, we all want to stay working at Saint Mary's,” says staff nurse Jamie Whitfield.
They also say the hospital terminated two members of the negotiating team to try to intimidate them.
