The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a man has been arrested after a hospital reported a woman with a slash wound on her face.
Around 6:00 p.m. on December 16, WCSO deputies responded to a call from an area hospital regarding a battery involving a deadly weapon.
Officials met with the victim, who had a knife wound to her face.
After an interview, deputies had enough information to seek out a suspect - they began canvassing and quickly located a man matching the suspect's description.
The man initially refused to comply with requests during a stop. He eventually stopped and tossed a knife to the ground. After a search, deputies also found that he had a "morning star" concealed on him as well.
The man, Jacob Beam, was arrested and charged with domestic battery with a deadly weapon and concealing and possessing a dangerous weapon.
