Reno Police were called to the scene of Carl's Jr. on S. Virginia Street earlier today for a call of an alleged attempted armed robbery.
According to officials, Michael Deras was arrested on the 500 block of Smithridge Drive after a short chase with the help of a K9 officer.
Deras was arrested and charged with parole violation, assault with a deadly weapon, and for being a prohibited person with a firearm. Other charges could be added later.
Police were able to confirm that a weapon was recovered at the scene.
One other person, who officials say was the getaway driver, is still outstanding.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
