Crash at York and McCarran .jpg

A pedestrian was hospitalized with reported non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Sparks, police said.

The crash happened at York Way and McCarran Boulevard just after 9 a.m. Friday.

Sparks police were on scene, and crews blocked one southbound lane of McCarran Boulevard just after the intersection for a short time while they cleared the crash.

Police said the pedestrian was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, police said. Impairment is not suspected in the crash.

All closures related to the crash have since been cleared.
